Contribute

You may be here because you’ve heard of our appeal to help get our main theatre open again. We’re working on it! So far, we’ve raised $400,000 to make that happen—but there’s so much more to be done!

The Dundas is a self-supporting entity. Until this year, it received no regular contributions from the Bahamian government or corporate Bahamas. But this year, all that changed with a major investment in our infrastructure of $340,000 from the Government of The Bahamas. Also, several corporate partners have come forward to assist with our renovation. The primary focus of our renovation the Winston V. Saunders Theatre, and we’re working feverishly to get that done, but there is a lot more going on too!

We’ve started a blog to keep track of what’s happening at the Dundas!!

Check it out:

We trust that this is the beginning of a whole new era at the theatre! But we’ve only just begun. Getting the property in shape is just the start. Our next step is to make it possible for us to finally begin to employ staff so that we can meet the challenges and take advantage of all the opportunities that are opening up. Theatres everywhere depend not only on ticket sales, but also on public support! So don’t feel that the time to contribute is over just because we’ve got some traction at last! We still need you!
